Let’s get some #quarentispiration from  the lady herself .

Tell us one aspect of Garima Bhandari that we are unaware about.

.

.

Oh there are many. But for this forum, it would probably be that I am extremely determined. Once I have put something in my crosshairs, I will achieve it no matter what. And I will make sure that whatever ambition I have put forth for myself happens without a compromise on any aspect of my life, especially my children. If anything, I will take them along on my journey, as I often do so they always feel a part of my life no matter how busy I become.

What makes a woman successful?

.

.

Success to me is how much love you can pay forward. You have been blessed and are lucky enough to be in a position to be able to make a change for the better. How will you use it? When we start from how much of a difference we can make rather than how much we want to achieve, success simply becomes a by-product of what we do. So, for me success for a woman is the intent with which you start whatever it is that you do.

.

.

What is your biggest achievement so far?

.

.

That would have to be to be able to bring up my children with the values that I am despite all the noise that surrounds them. That I am able to bring them as balanced, responsible global citizens who respect their traditions and values yet are empathetic to the differences they see in others and are able to open their heart to them. It may not seem like much but given the number of distractions that children have on an everyday basis, it isn’t a small feat. And they have an equal part to play in it. They are open and receptive to all that I have to offer. I am very, very proud and lucky.

One advice to moms or women who want to do Yoga.

.

.

Yoga allows you to fall in love with yourself and that can only happen if you discover your own yoga journey and not follow a process or find an instructor. Everything at every level shouldn’t just feel right but should feel great. Your practice should make you heart buoyant after every session and if that’s not happening keep changing things till it does. Don’t force yourself too much either. It isn’t a contest and go only as far as you can, don’t injure yourself. And be consistent. Even if it means on the hardest days you do it only for fifteen minutes, do it.

What next?

.

.

Lots of exciting things, I hope. I am planning on multiple projects that are in the offing. One of which is a book on clean living. I have seen so much literature but nothing that has truly inspired me. My endeavour would be to create a guide on how clean living can be incorporated into daily life with minimal modification. I am now very purposeful in taking the message of yoga to different parts of the world and the country. To that end I am in conversation with a few investors. So keep watching this space

Last but not least, can women have it all?

.

.

Anyone can have it all. We just need to define what our definition of all is. Is love our number one priority. Is it a career or just a balanced life. The most important thing to ‘having it all’ is to sit with yourself and identify what that means to you. Find time for reflection everyday and the closer you come in touch with yourself the simpler the definition of what you want becomes. Knowing what you want is the hardest. Attaining it is much, much easier.
